Your journey along the line . . .
Take a journey back in time with your friends or colleagues as one of our vintage steam-hauled trains meanders its way from Kidderminster to the ancient riverside town of Bridgnorth.
During your journey the train will pass through the town of Bewdley, with its quaint quayside, gardens and lovely Georgian architecture. Next is the tranquil village of Arley close to the River Severn, right out in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.
We now cross into Shropshire, arriving at Highley. Approximately half way along the line, Highley is where you can visit The Engine House, our Visitor Centre. See our reserve collection of steam locomotives, a carriage from the King George VI Royal Train and a Travelling Post Office carriage. The Visitor Centre is home to the 'Highley Cafe', on the first-floor, with great views over the Valley. On the ground floor we have a well-stocked gift-shop.
The sleepy hamlet of Hampton Loade follows; the line then climbs its way to the summit, before dropping to our northern terminus at Bridgnorth, Shropshire's gem of a medieval market town.
