Bridgnorth Share Offer Q&A

Bridgnorth Share Offer Q&A

There are now less than two months remaining for people to purchase shares in the Bridgnorth Share Offer.

As you are no doubt aware, the offer presents a wonderful opportunity to introduce major improvements to the Bridgnorth station site, and all money raised from the offer will be used to develop Bridgnorth.

Over one and a half million pounds has been raised so far, and this will enable us to complete the new refreshment room and toilet block, together with refurbishment of the listed station building. A further one million pounds is still needed, however, to fund installation of the turntable and to improve visitor car parking, including a much-improved access road.

We hope that as many of our members as possible will support this thoroughly worthy project, and to this end we have arranged a ‘Question and Answer’ session to take place at The Engine House on Saturday September 30th at 12.00, for those who may still have questions about the Share Offer.

Severn Valley Railway Members wishing to attend will be allowed free travel to and from Highley on production of a current membership card to the Travelling Ticket Inspector on the train. Timetable B will be in operation, and the 09.30, 10.15 or 11.00 trains can be used from Kidderminster or the 10.50 train from Bridgnorth.

Shareholders with 100 shares or more receive generous travel benefits, and those with 1,200 shares or more receive a free travel pass for themselves and up to 3 guests. The pass can be used on almost all operating days.

If you do not have a Share Offer pack and would like to register your interest, simply visit svr.co.uk/shareoffer, or telephone 01562 757900 (option 2) to speak to a member of the share offer team.

Please remember – every share purchase will help us to secure the financial well-being of the SVR for years to come!
