Back and enhanced, the Steam & Whistle Activity Club, based at The Engine House, is just the ticket for parents (and grandparents) looking for a great value day out for the kids in the long school summer holidays!

  • Get Teddy repaired at the Teddy hospital
  • Best dressed teddy competition

August 13th, 14th & 15th - Arts & Crafts Week
  • Various craft workshops
  • Make a railway clock
  • Craft competion
  • Meet the bees

August 20th, 21st & 22nd - Pirate Time!

  • Dig for hidden treasure
  • Best dressed pirate competion
  • Go on a pirate trail
  • Make a pirate hat

August 27th, 28th & 29th - Dig & Discover

  • Dig for real Roman artefacts
  • Archaeology trail
  • Make a Roman shield and other items
  • Coin rubbing
  • Dig in the allotment

'Freedom of the Line' tickets permit unlimited travel during the day and free admission to the Visitor Centre.

Annual Family Pass valid. Children 4 -15 years. Seniors - 60+. Family - 2 adults + 4 children.

 Advance booking is NOT essential.
