Our Fares . . .

Just the ticket!

But which fare is best for you?

To spend a whole day on the Railway, our Freedom of the Line ticket is your best value option. This ticket allows unlimited travel during the day between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth and free entry into The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley.

Freedom of the Line tickets are also valid for use during special events when normal fares apply, such as: Open House Weekend,  Steam on the Road, On the Buses, Classic Vehicle Day, Christmas Gift Fayre and Festive Season Service.

These tickets are not valid during Special Event days where revised fares apply, such as: Spring Steam Gala, Spring Diesel Festival, Step Back to the 1940s, Autumn Steam Gala, Autumn Diesel Gala, Ghost Trains, Steam in Lights or any Santa Experience.

Freedom of the Line tickets can be purchased in advance online at least 5 working days before your visit, so you can avoid the queue when you arrive. By purchasing more than one adult or child ticket, you can pre-book and save.

Family: 2 adults and up to 4 children (or dogs) - £195.00 per year. SVR Members - £185.00
Small Family: 1 adult and up to 4 children (or dogs) - £175.00. SVR Members - £165.00.

These passes include photo-identification. You will be requested to provide passport style photographs (physical or digital) at the time of purchase.

If you have travelled on the railway in the last 7 days [except for special events with revised fares], we will allow the cost of your journey off the cost of the annual pass.  If you wish to take advantage of this offer, please ring us on 01562 757900 (option 1) or call in at our Comberton Place office, or Bridgnorth or Kidderminster Booking Office. You will need to send or take your tickets to us as proof of what you have already paid.

 Less-able Visitors
We do NOT allow discounts for less-able passengers themselves, but we do offer a discount for carers who accompany and assist the less-able person during their visit. The discount offered to carers is equivalent to the child rate for the journey. One 'carer fare' is permitted per less-able person traveling. 'Carer fares' are only available from the Booking Office on the day of your visit.

Dogs
Dog tickets must be purchased; these cost £3.00 each for any journey, single or return.

However they may NOT travel in dining cars, and are NOT allowed on the seats or tables in our carriages.
They ARE admitted to The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley, but only on the ground floor, i.e. not on the first floor where the Highley Cafe is situated.

Assistance dogs travel free on our trains.

Cycles, pushchairs and buggies
Cycles, pushchairs and buggies are carried free of charge, but MUST be placed in the guard's compartment or as directed by the train crew.

First Class Travel - go on spoil yourself!
