Changes to our train service - July 15th-17th

Changes to our train service - July 15th-17th

The Severn Valley Railway has accepted a fantastic contract opportunity from Monday 15th July to Wednesday 17th July 2019.

What does this mean for you, our passengers?

Trains will only be running between Bridgnorth and Highley during this period, and The Engine House will be open.

We recommend that you start your journey at Bridgnorth, where we have ample car parking.  The ‘Freedom of the Line’ ticket has been reduced for the three days, and includes FREE entry into The Engine House Visitor Centre at Highley Station, where you can get up close and personal with some of our steam engines, learn more about our heritage or just enjoy a coffee overlooking the beautiful River Severn.

We apologise for the inconvenience and hope that you understand that this contract is a significant opportunity to contribute to the Railway’s future, as we are reliant upon our own income to maintain and repair our buildings, locomotives, carriages and wagons.

Normal service between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth will resume from Thursday 18th July 2019.
