Every journey ends with a memory.

#SVRMemories

On the Severn Valley Railway, every journey ends with a memory… and we’re keeping those memories going with a competition to keep both young and young-at-heart minds busy.

As part of our #SVRMemories campaign, we’ll be running a monthly competition to find out your favourite memories before we reopen and help you make many more.

Through our monthly competition, we’ll be reliving, celebrating and sharing your favourite moments, days out and events across 50 years of the Severn Valley Railway.

Every person who enters will have the opportunity to feature in our 2020 Yearbook whilst five lucky winners will scoop a family ticket, first class travel and a meet the driver experience each month.

Each age category has a different task, ensuring that our little hands and big minds are kept busy during this period of staying indoors. The categories are:
  • Aged under 4If you love trains, show us why with a drawing, a dance, a photo or a written story. All kinds of entry accepted! Why not check out our downloadable worksheets below for inspiration?
  • Ages 5-7, 8-11 and 12-16Think about your favourite journey. Where did you go, who were you with, what did you eat? We’d love to hear about it – write a short diary entry about your adventure. It doesn’t have to be on the Severn Valley Railway, but we’d love it if it was!
  • Ages 17+ - Over five decades of adventure, the Seven Valley Railway has hosted millions of passengers, families and train fanatics. We want to see your favourite photo and hear your stories. From Kidderminster to Bridgnorth, wherever your memory took place, share it with us via email, Twitter or Instagram and use the hashtag #SVRMemories!
So, get sharing! To enter, simply email your entry to memories@svrlive.com or tag us on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #SVRMemories.

We’ll then be in touch with you to claim your prize if you’re our monthly winner. Even if you don’t win though, make sure you visit Severn Valley Railway when we reopen, your photo could be on display.

Full steam ahead – get your entries in now for your chance to be our April winner!
