Pubs now open with incredible street-food menu on the weekend!

The Severn Valley Railway is proud to announce the reopening of its award winning pubs, The King and Castle at Kidderminster Station and The Railwayman's Arms at Bridgnorth Station.

Both pubs, including the Wyre Forest Pub of the Year in Kidderminster, will offer a selection of local real ales, lagers, ciders, spirits and more.

Alongside traditional drinks, The King and Castle has partnered with award-winning chef Richard Stuart for 10th, 11th and 12th July. A selection of tasty street food, handmade on site. Food available on the day will be:
  • Panko breadcrumb Coated Beef Brisket Bon Bons
  • Three Tikka-battered pots of deliciousness to choose from:
    • Chicken goujons
    • Crispy fish bites
    • Halloumi strips (v)
  • All served with dirty chips and a choice of:
    • Chef’s curry sauce
    • Homemade minted mushy peas
    • Meaty gravy

Alongside these, Richard will be bringing his pizza oven to bake homemade pizza on site - with a choice of four toppings available.

Each dish on the menu is £8 with sides for £2.50. Although walk-ins will be accommodated, pre-booking is essential to ensure our team can seat you comfortably and quickly.

Seating arrangements have been made on the glass-covered concourse to adhere to social distancing measures whilst waitress service will ensure families can have a drink from the comfort of their own table.

At The Railwayman's Arms, the platform has been changed into 'Bridgnorth's biggest beer garden' for fantastic outdoor seating area with a difference. Both ends of the line are running table service to ensure comfort and style.

Both pubs have undergone a deep clean prior to reopening and strategies have been put in place to ensure the safety of drinkers, staff and families.

Although walk-ins will be available at both ends of the line, the only way to guarantee a table at Kidderminster over the weekends is to reserve your seats by booking a table at HERE.

Opening times for The King & Castle in July: 

Monday - Thursday - 14:00 - 20:00
Friday - Sunday - 11:00 - 23:00 for 4,5,10,11,12 July, 12:00 - 23:00 for any other dates 

Opening times for The Railwayman's Arms in July:

Friday - Sunday - 12:00 - 22:00
