Mixed Traction Day

Come along for a ride behind a mixture of steam and visiting diesel engines operating along the line.

Following on from our highly popular Spring Diesel Festival, a selection of the visiting diesel locomotives will be operating alongside our steam trains.

Special attractions:

  • Official launch of Colin Gifford's hotly-anticipated new book 'Transition'. You can meet the famed railway photographer from 11.30am, before the book is launched by Nigel Harris of Rail Magazine at 12.20pm. Colin will then be on hand for the rest of the day to sign copies of the book and to chat to visitors.
  • Diesel locomotives in service: D7375, 33108, 37688, 40106, 46010, D821, Class 50s, D1062.
  • Three steam trains operating alongside a number of visiting diesel locomotives.

Event Parking:

  • Kidderminster - Station DY10 1QX, Harriers Football Club DY10 1NB, King Charles School DY10 1XA (8.30am - 8.30pm only).
  • Bewdley - Station DY12 1BG.
  • Bridgnorth - Station & new West Carpark WV16 5DT.

Annual Family Pass valid. Children: 4 - 15 years, Family: 2 adults + 2, 3 or 4 children, Seniors: 60+.
To qualify for  'pre-book & save' prices these tickets must be purchased at least five working days in advance of your visit. Tickets may also be purchased at the same price by calling 01562 757900 (option 1). These tickets are not available for purchase from booking offices in advance.

All pre-booked tickets are subject to a £1.75 booking fee.
These tickets include FREE admission to The Engine House, our Visitor Centre at Highley.
