Half-term Family Fun!

Autumn is here, and we'll be steaming along from October 27th to November 4th for half-term! Tickets can be pre-booked, or are available to purchase on the day.

Trains are running daily, giving you the chance to experience a bygone age in the beautiful Severn Valley Railway.


  • The Coalyard Miniature Railway, our miniature ride-on railway at Kidderminster, will be operating on selected dates.

The Engine House, Highley

Entry to The Engine House is FREE with 'Freedom of the Line' tickets. Marvel at the massive locomotives, delve into the history of Britain's railways, enjoy themed, interactive exhibitions where you can sort the mail and meet Gordon the blue engine!

  • Join our Halloween Shows with Flippy & Dippy on October 31.
  • FREE Craft Activities every day.
  • Meet the Owls on October 29, 31 & November 2.
  • KIDS EAT FREE in the cafe (one kid's meal is free with any adult meal purchased on the day), Monday to Friday.

Country Park Halt

Jump off the train at Country Park Halt to explore the historic Country Park. There's trails for your bikes and great views of our trains steaming past.

Annual Family Pass valid. Children: 4 - 15 years, Family: 2 adults + 2, 3 or 4 children, Seniors: 60+.
To qualify for  'pre-book & save' prices these tickets must be purchased at least five working days in advance of your visit. Tickets may also be purchased at the same price by calling 01562 757900 (option 1). These tickets are not available for purchase from booking offices in advance.

All pre-booked tickets are subject to a £1.75 booking fee.
These tickets include FREE admission to The Engine House, our Visitor Centre at Highley.
