Train Ride & Vintage Bus tour to Dudmaston Hall

Combine a trip on the Severn Valley Railway with a vintage bus ride to the National Trust's Dudmason Hall on Tuesdays in August. Available to passengers on THE FLYER, THE EXPLORER and THE ADVENTURER.



At Dudmaston Hall, you can purchase tickets with a 5% discount for entry into the National Trust property (train tickets must be shown to obtain the discount).

For passengers on The Adventurer, join the vintage bus at 11.00am or 2.00pm from Bridgnorth, returning from Dudmaston Hall at 1.30pm or 3.30pm.

For passengers on The Explorer, join the vintage bus at 12.30pm from Bridgnorth, returning from Dudmaston Hall at 3.30pm.

For passengers on The Flyer, join the vintage bus at 1.00pm from Bridgnorth, returning from Dudmaston Hall at 2.30pm.

Return tickets for the bus can be purchased in advance, or on the day from the Bus Driver, for £5 per person (children that do not take up a seat and travel on an adult's lap may travel free of charge).

Train Ride & Alpaca Experience

Combine a trip on the Severn Valley Railway with something truly unique!

Leave the train at Country Park Halt and make your way up to the Severn Valley Country Park Visitor Centre where you will join our friends from Wildwood Alpacas to take one of their stunning creatures on a walk through the beautiful Severn Valley Country Park. Available on Wednesdays in July (21st, 28th) and August (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) for passengers on THE EXPLORER.

Get up close and personal as you learn all about Alpacas whilst you explore the pathways in the beautiful Severn Valley. The experience lasts for approximately 45 minutes.

After getting off the train at Country Park Halt, follow the signs to the Visitor Centre (don't cross the railway line when leaving the Halt). The walk is approximately 20 minutes on uneven ground and you'll cross the River Severn about halfway). You can view a map of the route by clicking here.

Train Ride & Arley Arboretum

Combine a trip on the Severn Valley Railway with a visit to the stunning Arley Arboretum, just a short walk from Arley Station. Visits to the Arboretum are available on THE EXPLORER and THE ADVENTURER on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Your admission includes a trail sheet for any children in your group. And the Garden Tearoom sells a variety of hot and cold drinks, wonderful homemade cakes and light bites.

The Arboretum is now home to over 300 species of trees and features a beautiful Laburnum arch, measuring 65 metres. Popular with nature lovers, families and walkers, Arley Arboretum is a magical place to visit throughout the year, with every season bringing a different breathtaking vista.

Arley Arboretum is a 15 minute walk from Arley Station; walk down the hill from the Station, cross the river, turn left and follow the signs up the hill.

Train Ride & Brewery Tour

Combine a trip on the Severn Valley Railway with a tour of Bewdley Brewery! Available on THE EXPLORER and THE ADVENTURER on Saturday 14th August.

During your 30 minute guided tour, see the fermentation room and the fermenting vessels where the beer ferments once brewed. During your visit, you'll also see the collection of pub, brewery & railway memorabilia, before taking a seat in The Brewery Tap to enjoy a pint. The experience lasts approximately one hour.

Bewdley Brewery (DY12 2DZ) is located half a mile from our Station. Follow the signposts to the town, cross the River Severn, and turn left down Severn Side South, following the signs for Bewdley Brewery.
