Engine House Christmas Carvery

If your festive season highlight is the traditional Christmas Carvery, then we have something that will really tickle your tastebuds...

Travel on a heritage steam train from Kidderminster to Highley and The Engine House, where you'll have the chance to marvel at the massive locomotives and interesting displays, before settling down for our Christmas Carvery.

What's on the menu:

  • Main Course; locally sourced succulent roast turkey served with pigs in blankets, or pork medallions in a Fletchers cider sauce (produced locally in the Wyre forest) with a roasted leek mash, or poached salmon with a hollandaise sauce, accompanied with a poached egg and asparagus, or aubergine parmigiana served with Christmas Tree Garlic Bread (V). All served with a seasonal vegetable selection of honey roast parsnips, carrots, sprouts, roast potatoes & lashings of Chef’s homemade gravy.
  • To follow; traditional Christmas Pudding with Brandy Sauce or Custard, or festive ice-cream Sundae, or a trio of mini festive desserts, or cheese board with crackers & festive chutney.
  • Finally; homemade Mince Pie served with Tea or Coffee.
After your leisurely lunch, your steam train will be waiting to take you back to Kidderminster.
Christmas Carvery trains operate on: December 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th & 12th.

The train departs from Kidderminster at 10.30am and returns at approximately 3.00pm.
